Strength Ah Mi Life Album Tour
With the release of his new album at the end of May 2006, Alan Charles one of the UK’s most prolific wordsmith and Gospel edutainer will be embarking on a nation-wide tour to promote his new album ‘Strength Ah Mi Life’. Produced by the award-winning producer Sherwin Gardner (FlowMasters) the album enlist the contribution of some of the finest voices in the Caribbean. These include Gospel Ragga DJ Tiko Angelos formerly of Royal Priesthood who flexes his chanting muscle on the title track “Strength Ah Mi Life”. Singer and songwriter Vanessa Briggs (Shoulda Coulda Woulda) lends her heavenly vocals to “Come Home” the opening track of the album over the drop leaf rhythm and Gitta Dan also formerly of Royal Priesthood contributes his awesome vocals on the track “A time for everything”.
“Strength Ah Mi Life” the follow up to his 2001 debut “Da Plan” is a hard hitting, inspiring and uplifting album. This offering sees Alan pushing the boundaries of his remarkable manipulation of words to now include singing as well as his trademark dub poetry and rapping. To promote the new release, Alan alongside special guest Tiko Angelos and Vanessa Briggs hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, will be taking to the road on a 20-date church and concert tour throughout the UK. The tour promises to be an exciting, invigorating and explosive event. A combination of thought provoking spoken word, mixed with hard hitting, cutting edge Ragga Rhythms delicately sprinkled with the sweetest, smoothest vocals this side of heaven.
The tour kicks off on Saturday 24th June at The Tabernacle, Algernon Rd, Lewisham, SE13 as part of the 3rd Annual Lewisham Gospel Week and end 30th July.
